Abu Dhabi Art Fair 2024: Group Presentation

20 - 24 November 2024

Abu Dhabi, UAE Following successful showcases at Frieze London and Art Basel Paris, ATHR Gallery continues its art fair season with the 2024 edition of Abu Dhabi Art, presenting a fresh perspective on contemporary Middle Eastern art with the work of Sara Abdu, Asma Bahmim, and Rami Farook.

ATHR is presenting Sara Abdu’s newest additions to her “Now That I Lost You In My Dreams Where Do We Meet?” series of works shown previously in the Diriyah Contemporary Arts Biennale and Art Basel Paris, in addition to a selection of carefully-curated artworks reflecting the artist’s evolving practice.

Asma Bahmim will showcase two compelling collections: Notes In Time and Fantasia. The latter, already exhibited at renowned institutions such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Diriyah Contemporary Arts Biennale, investigates storytelling’s nuances and the intricacies of its craft. Notes In Time, a more recent series, delves into Arabian folklore, examining gender roles in traditional tales and their impact on cultural identity.

Rami Farook’s artworks are manifestations of the artist’s inner monologue as he observes and processes everyday moments and turbulent current events. Each piece is a synthesis of diverse materials and techniques imbued with the artist’s emotional journey, worldview, and thoughts.

The Abu Dhabi Art Fair runs from November 20 to 24, featuring seven sectors and over 100 galleries. ATHR Gallery’s exhibition can be found in the Special Projects sector at booth A5.
