Here, Now brings together works that explore emotional density and quiet uncertainty. Centered on “Circle Star" from the “Nebula" series, the exhibition opens space for moments where meaning remains unresolved and feelings exist without clear definition.
The new works evoke a state of suspension, shaped by tension and anticipation. What appears calm on the surface carries an underlying pressure, suggesting transformation and change yet to unfold.
Within this framework, Asma Bahmim reflects on how contemporary visual narratives take shape. Drawing inspiration from Islamic miniature traditions, she reimagines the content and form of her work through ornaments and layered paper, reflecting the multiplicity of the inner states shaped by the emotional chaos of our time.
The exhibition remains within this suspended space, allowing visitors space for silence and contemplation, and for an awareness of the necessity of passing through these moments that precede insight, transformation, and renewal.
هنا، الآن يقدّم مجموعة من الأعمال التي تستكشف كثافة المشاعر والغموض الهادئ. حيث يتمحوّر المعرض حول العمل الفنّي "النجوم الدائرية" من سلسلة "السديم"، فاتحًا المجال لاختبار لحظات يظلّ فيها المعنى معلّقًا، وتبقى المشاعر دون تعريف واضح.
تستحضر الأعمال الجديدة حالة من التوقّف، تتشكّل بفعل التوتر والترقّب. فما يبدو هادئًا ظاهريًا يحمل في طيّاته ضغطًا كامنًا، يوحي بتحوّل وتغيير لم يتكشّفا بعد.
ضمن هذا الإطار، تتأمّل أسماء باهميم في الكيفية التي تتشكّل بها السرديات البصرية في عالمنا المعاصر. واستلهامًا من فن المنمنمات الإسلامية، تعيد الفنانة صياغة محتوى أعمالها وبُناها الشكلية من خلال الزخارف وطبقات الورق، بما يعكس المشاعر النفسيّة المتعددة والفوضى العاطفية لعصرنا.
يبقى المعرض في هذه المساحة المعلّقة، داعيًا الزوّار إلى الصمت والتأمّل في الغموض، وإلى إدراك وفهم ضرورة المرور بهذه اللحظات التي تسبق مراحل البصيرة، و التحوّل، و التجديد.
