In "A Landscape of a Memory", Adani bukhoor cubes are assembled like a pixelated field, suggesting memory dispersed across geographies. For Abdu, the distinct scent of Adani bukhoor becomes a bridge between distant places, an olfactory tether linking otherwise separate coordinates. Arranged low to the ground, the cubes invite the viewer into a subtle choreography of distance, observed from above as one might contemplate an aerial view of a remembered landscape. Stripped of their function as scent generating objects, they too, hover in a state of suspension, charged, preserved, and quietly resisting the passage of time.
