Crosswalk delves into the visceral tension and anxieties of pedestrians under extreme conditions. Utilizing AI and risograph techniques, these prints explore the necessity of crossing the street—an otherwise mundane activity imbued with tension and vulnerability. The work is inspired by my personal experience crossing Malik Road in Jeddah at age 15 where no crosswalk was available, as well as stories shared by others or encountered online. These narratives reveal the raw, lived realities of such moments. Printed using a CMYK risograph process, the technique diffuses digital glitches while evoking a tactile yet painterly aesthetic.
