Price Upon Request

Another tribute to land art and eco-art, is artist Zahra al-Ghamdi’s series, Untitled, which looks at the incredible biodiversity existent in the soil, that rarely gets noticed or appreciated for the vital role it plays, not just in supporting different forms of life but in how it stops soil erosion and preserves water resources. In creating objects that are inspired by the forms of millions of microorganisms that populate the soil, al-Ghamdi brings them to the light and extends an invitation to the audience to think about the invisible world living underneath their feet, and how their existence is critical in the sustenance and thriving of our resources and biodiversity.
