We Shouted into the Wind explores the unworldly connection between the port cities of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Sawakin, Sudan. During Jeddah's construction in the 1800s, some coral building materials were transported from Sawakin to Jeddah to create what is now known as the Al-Balad district. Investigating these coral ties sparked questions about what this transportation process further entailed and imagines the fates of immaterial worlds as their material landscapes begin to disintegrate. The video follows a dialogue between two spirits as they communicate using diverse linguistic mechanisms. Majzob Alarabi documented different soundscapes of Port Sudan, and several of these field recordings formed the foundation for the language and mode of communication between those spirits.

Coral/Spiral Study is a loop video that explores the poetics of trust, equilibrium, and spiral forms.
