ATHR Gallery is proud to announce the representation of Abdulrahman Al Soliman, a pioneering figure in Saudi Arabia’s modern art movement.
Born in 1954, Al Soliman is a leading Saudi visual artist and writer whose practice brings together local heritage, cultural symbols and abstraction, creating a distinctive visual language rooted in Saudi storytelling.
A foundational figure in the Saudi art scene, he documented its history in The Journey of the Saudi Fine Arts Movement (2000), served as the first president of the Saudi Society for Fine Arts (2007–2012), and has mentored generations of artists. His work has been described as carrying a “colour of space and scent of memory,” reflecting a deeply rooted yet evolving Arabic sensibility.
We look forward to presenting his work at Frieze Masters, alongside Frieze London, from 14–18 October 2026 at The Regent’s Park, and to supporting the next chapter of his practice.
